Meet Man Utd Target Dorgu Who Scored With First Touch on International Debut

Patrick Dorgu could be the solution to Ruben Amorim’s tactical challenges at Manchester United.
Amorim, who took over at Old Trafford in November, has been eager to implement his preferred 3-4-3 formation. However, the system hasn’t delivered the results he expected.
Initially, Amad Diallo and Diogo Dalot were Amorim’s go-to choices for wing-back roles, but adjustments were needed. Amad has since moved into a more attacking role, and Dalot has struggled to adapt, forcing Amorim to explore alternative options.
Enter Lecce left-back Patrick Dorgu, a player who has caught Amorim’s eye. Reports suggest that Manchester United has reached an agreement with the Serie A club for £29 million, with an additional £4 million in potential add-ons tied to Champions League qualification and Premier League appearances.
Dorgu, should the deal be finalized, could quickly establish himself in United’s starting XI. Statistically, the 20-year-old has outperformed current United players like Amad, Dalot, and Noussair Mazraoui in key areas.
This season, Dorgu has won more duels, recovered possession more frequently, and made more tackles, crosses, and interceptions. His four goals and assists are a notable upgrade compared to Dalot and Mazraoui, who have yet to register any. Additionally, Dorgu has attempted 36 shots this season—more than any of his potential teammates.

What sets Dorgu apart is his well-rounded game. He is effective both in attack and defense, aligning perfectly with the qualities Amorim has been seeking. Adding to his appeal is an exceptional fitness record.
Alexander Riget, the technical director at Nordsjælland, where Dorgu spent his formative years, recently told Sport Witness: “He’s never injured—never. He played for Nordsjælland for six or seven years, and I can’t remember a single day where he was sidelined. That’s very rare for a young player.”
This level of durability will be a relief for Amorim, who has had to contend with recurring injury issues for Tyrell Malacia and Luke Shaw. Dorgu’s ability to stay fit could offer much-needed stability to United’s left flank.
Dorgu has also demonstrated his goalscoring ability on the international stage. On his senior debut for Denmark in September, he made an immediate impact, scoring with his first touch just 42 minutes after coming off the bench against Switzerland.
If the move is completed, Patrick Dorgu will become the first signing of the Ruben Amorim era at Manchester United, potentially marking the start of a new chapter for the club.

Truth Behind Paul Pogba’s Cryptic Post and Four-Word Message

Paul Pogba has sparked speculation about a possible return to Manchester United with a cryptic message on Instagram.
The 31-year-old midfielder is currently serving an 18-month suspension from football but is eligible to return in March. Initially handed a four-year ban in February after testing positive for the banned substance DHEA, Pogba successfully appealed to have the suspension reduced.

In October, Pogba publicly addressed the situation, denying any wrongdoing and declaring his intention to resume his football career. Despite his appeal, Juventus terminated his contract, leaving him as a free agent.
Since then, rumors of a Premier League return have been swirling, with Pogba adding fuel to the fire through social media. He recently posted a cartoon illustration of himself alongside Manchester United talent Amad Diallo, both dressed in the iconic Red Devils kit.
Shortly after, he shared another photo of himself gazing out a window in what appears to be Miami, accompanied by the caption, “Let’s see what’s coming…”
Reports previously suggested Manchester City had explored the possibility of signing Pogba last year, but the Frenchman reportedly hesitated to join United’s cross-town rivals.

Meanwhile, former Arsenal players Emmanuel Petit and Bacary Sagna have urged the Gunners to consider signing Pogba, though the midfielder is said to favor a move to La Liga, Serie A, or the Bundesliga.
During his two stints at Manchester United, Pogba made 233 appearances before leaving on a free transfer in 2022 to rejoin Juventus. However, injuries plagued his second spell in Turin, limiting his impact before his suspension.
Now a free agent, Pogba’s cryptic posts hint that his next move could be imminent, and fans are left wondering if a return to Old Trafford might be on the horizon.
